Sydney Hall 1788-1831

Sidney Hall was a British engraver and cartographer whose early nineteenth century atlases containing maps of the United Kingdom and the ancient world from his engravings were well-known and popular. At a period when cartography and atlases were extremely popular, he engraved a number of international atlases. He also engraved a series of cards depicting the numerous constellations, which were published circa 1825 as Urania’s Mirror.
