The 1929 Course for the Schneider Trophy Contest was held once again off the Isle of Wight, over the Solent. This time the prime location was Calshot, which became the start and finish point for the Cowes course on the 7th September. Turning points were off of Seaview, which is around 5 miles south-west of Hayling Island and Southsea. France was unable to enter this year and Al Williams for United Stated also failed to participate.
