Based on the available data, it can be inferred that the initial construction of the structure in question likely dates back to the 12th century, with further extensions seen in the 13th century. The transept piers lack structural integration with the eastern wall of the nave, which, given its substantial thickness of 4 feet (1.2 m), likely constituted an integral component of the original church structure.

The arches located in the eastern section of the aisles are supported by simple, sloping imposts. Additionally, it is worth noting that the first pier of the southern aisle does not connect with the western wall.
