Ref Number: 0069
The station was demolished in the beginning of the 1970s, and in its place now there is a completely brand-new residential complex. The station had been located on the same plot of land since the early 1900s. There is nothing further that can be done.
The ascending side of the solitary track traversed the centre of the Bembridge Station, which included a platform that stretched for a total of 220 feet in length. In addition, there was a coal wharf to the west of the station that was serviced by a siding that was a total of 120 feet in length. On the side of the platform road that faced the incline, there was a second siding that offered service to a smaller goods yard. In addition to serving the needs of coal merchants, this yard was also responsible for handling miscellaneous goods.
