Blackburn Rippon, S1569, following forced landing ended nose down!

A Blackburn Ripon, with the designation S1569, had a forced landing resulting in a nose down end. It is widely accepted that the location in question is situated on Howgate Road in Bembridge. The aircraft was successfully retrieved from the landing location. Subsequently, it was transported back to Blackburn’s facilities and through a conversion process to become a Baffin variant. In its modified state, the aircraft primarily operated within the Mediterranean region.
It appears after only days after several Baffins flew in from the carriers Eagle and Glorious to the island of Malta a terrible tornado. November 24th 1936 saw terrribem carnage destroying three hangars and many of the aircraft of which S1569 was one. Subsequently they were all scrapped or used for parts.
