Carisbrooke Village 1808

Carisbrooke Village can be viwed in “A new picture of the Isle of Wight, illustrated with thirty-six plates of the most beautiful and interesting views throughout the island in initiation of the original sketches.” From the 1808 edition, all the plates are hand drawn. This was early guide and became a firm favourite of vistors to the island.
