Charles John Huffam Dickens, an esteemed English novelist and social commentator, is well recognised for his creation of iconic fictional characters that have gained global renown. He is commonly considered as the preeminent author of the Victorian era.
In the year 1849, Charles Dickens resided in Winterbourne, a location situated in Bonchurch. Dickens arrival took place in the month of July, and while initially intending to depart by the conclusion of September, their stay was extended until the month of October. During his time at this location, he composed two iterations of David Copperfield, with one of them likely being the definitive edition.
