Karl Marx travelled to the Island for health-related purposes. The initial visit undertaken by the individual occurred in Ryde during the summer of 1874. Following the passing of his wife, the individual in question opted to relocate to Ventnor ( Chimnitz, 1 St Boniface Gardens, Ventnor) in December of 1881. However, this trip proved to be brief, as he subsequently returned to London in mid-January of 1882. He arrived back in late October of the same year.
He departed during the month of January, subsequent to the demise of one of his offspring. Marx passed away during the month of March in the year 1883.
